TERESA TRUOG
Teresa started with Twetten's in 1996 as part of a college internship. She earned a BS in Interior Design from South Dakota State University. In 1997, she began her career as a designer with Twetten's in Spencer, IA, while being mentored by Jerry Twetten.
In 2004, Teresa moved to Sioux Falls, SD to coordinate the opening of the 2nd location for Twetten's becoming the Sales Manager for both locations in 2012.
Teresa, along with Sarah Larson, purchased Twetten's in 2014. She is an allied member of American Society of Interior Designers. (ASID) Member of PEO and the Home Builders Association of Sioux Falls.
Sarah joined the Twetten's design staff in the spring of 1998. She came with a BS in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota and 8 years experience working in commercial design in Minneapolis, then several years working both commercial and residential in Iowa City, IA. Having been born into the Twetten's Interior Design Family, Sarah's mother, Barbara Stehbens, started her design career with Twetten's.
Working in Sioux Falls, Sarah helped build the business, ensuring the need for a second studio space in Sioux Falls, which opened its doors in 2004. Sarah and fellow designer, Teresa Truog, purchased the business from the Twetten's Family in 2014. In 2016, Twetten's relocated the Spirit Lake studio into historical downtown Spirit Lake.
Ann joined the Twetten's Design Team in 1991. She came with a BS in Business Administration and BA in Sociology from the University of Nebraska. Ann began her relationship with Twetten's as a client of Jerry Twetten. Jerry recognized Ann's extraordinary taste and passion for design which led him to ask her to come work for him - she never looked back.
Julie has been a designer with Twetten's for more than 20 years, starting in our Spencer location. Julie is well known and recognized for her exceptional design expertise as she works closely with the client and seamstress to create custom, one-of-a-kind draperies.
Margaret began her Interior Design career with Twetten's 19 years ago. With a background in art history and interior design from Iowa State University and Buena Vista University, Margaret
was adjunct instructor in Art History a BVU and also taught Interior Design and Color Theory at Iowa Lakes Community College.
